HHS Competition
DECA competition is an area that DECA really makes a difference. Students who choose to compete receive so much more than those who do not compete. DECA competition develops skills that cannot be taught or acquired in a classroom setting. Students learn how to communicate when they prepare for a DECA role play and they develop written and verbal communication skills when they choose to compete in a DECA written event, which includes a manual, visual display, and presentation to judges. Since there are so many DECA competitive events to choose from, students can decide whether they prefer a test only event, a test and role play, or a written event.

Click on the DECA Logo to link to the National DECA Website for your individual study guides. Please see Mrs. Jacks in the Generals Market during lunch or in room #1206 to sign up for DECA and to sign up for Region and State Competitions. You do not have to compete to be in DECA, although it is a lot of fun and will benefit you tremendously with your college and career endeavors.
